Carrie brings 28 years of diverse conference, meeting, event experience and leadership to the team. Well known in the meeting and hospitality industries, Carrie has served as President of the Georgia Chapter of MPI (Meeting Professionals International). Carrie has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Georgia Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.

As Chief Executive Officer and the Director of Event Operations Carrie is not only responsible for setting the direction and vision for the company but is also manages strategic and tactical planning, client management and business development.

Carrie has been engaged in the conference and event planning business since 1983. Her depth of experience includes site research and selection, hotel and conference center contract negotiations, on-site management, budgeting, tradeshow management and global meetings and events.

Linda Thompson
Senior Event Manager

Linda has been serving her clients' conference, event and meeting planning needs for over 15 years. Linda's energetic personality makes her well suited to passionately produce thought provoking and exceptional events. Linda is detailed oriented and always puts customer service first. Linda's experience includes on-site operations and planning of programs at a multitude of worldwide destinations. She has a can-do attitude, and that, coupled with providing outstanding customer service and creativity makes her a customer favorite.

Christine Smith
Event Manager

Christine Smith has been with Hurd & Associates since 2008 working in the area of site selection and meeting production. Her main focus is working with medical groups. Christine's combined experience in billing research and retail management gives her a keen eye for details and exceptional customer service.


Natalia F. Hurd
Event Coordinator

Natalia graduated from the Rosen School of Hospitality at the University of Central Florida with her B.S. In Event Management. Natalia's vibrant personality and her passion for the event industry brings a fresh new perspective to the company. Natalia focuses on event management logistics and hope to open a new division at Hurd & Associates as a Wedding Consultant.

Pat Thompson
Event Consultant

As a graduate of Georgia Tech, a Nationally Registered Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician and a Station Chief for Rabun County Fire Service, Pat brings a broad and diverse knowledge to Hurd & Associates. In addition to assessing the ability of a site to meet technical and space requirements, he also develops and implements crisis management plans that are site specific for each event and client.
